I went to see Fionnuala with a shoulder issue which was causing me pain in my lower left arm. I had an assessment and had some physiotherapy done and was given some exercises to do. Fionnuala phoned and checked in with me after a couple of days to see how I was getting on with the exercises. I went back a week later and had inproved, I had no pain in my lower arm and my shoulder movements had improved. I was given some more physio exercises to do to strengthen my shoulder muscles, I didn't need to be seen again. Fionnuala phoned me a week later to see how I was getting on, I have no pain and my shoulder is back to normal. I would highly recomend Fionnuala , she did a great job and I can't thank her enough.

I couldn’t recommend Chews health more! I tore ligaments in my shoulder from falling off a motocross bike and I’ve never experienced pain like it, I was told by the doctor I was going to be out of action for months and I was gutted. Jack reassured me that we’ll be able to speed up my recovery if I do the exercises he gave me which I did religiously, I’m so happy to say that within 6 weeks I’m back to my hobbies mountain biking and surfing and that’s all thanks to Chews Health. Thank you so much!

Richard helped me recently with pain in my knee. He was sympathetic and put together a plan to help my rehab. I found the sessions really helpful and he showed me clearly which exercises would help get me back enjoying my hobbies. The plan was also backed up by an email with instructions and links to YouTube. It was very easy to get a appointment and there is plenty of parking. I'm back to pain free exercise now and would definitely return if I had any more issues.

I was referred to Chews Health for shockwave therapy for long term IT Band syndrome. Jon Shurr was excellent at talking me the through the process, setting my expectations and listening to my concerns. I just expected to receive the intervention with Jon but what I actually got was a patient-centred, holistic approach to my condition. Jon was excellent at setting physical challenges to test my knee pain and amending approaches when needed. Having completed my course of shock wave therapy I am feeling the improvements and continue to challenge my knees!! I am so pleased with the success of this therapy and am very grateful to Jon.

I would highly recommend Chews Health. I have seen Jon for help with improving muscle strength in my arms and legs. I am in late 70's and presently seeing him every week because of hip pain. The exercises are helping me cope with an ongoing problem. Thank you. Dot

  • Jack Chew

Jack founded Chews Health in 2013 as a company for his clinical consultancy, offering second opinions to local sports clubs and teams whose therapists and coaches were struggling to mastermind the recovery of some of their key athletes. As his philosophy and methods spread across the Physio profession and MSK industry a consultancy network emerged and eventually Chews Health services were sought after enough to need a bespoke facility.

Alongside his role as MD of Chews Health, Jack hosts The Physio Matters Podcast – a monthly show which goes out to over 20,000 therapists and is the director of MSKReform – a non-profit think-tank which is tasked with improving the industry to reduce the unjust variations in care standards. He lives locally with his wife Charlotte and their identical twin boys who are affectionately known across social media as ‘Test and Control’!
