I worked with Sam for 15 months on a few different injuries. Sam is friendly, contactable and has excellent knowledge on rehab, strength and mobility. I took on Sam’s approach to Physiotherapy as it allows a weekly check-in over what’s app which is very easily accessible. Due to a few different injuries, I needed regular touch points to work through them as well as keep my confidence up. Our main success is rehab of a left quadriceps tendonopathy and I have progressed to some cycling again. Unfortunately my right ankle isn’t an area we were able to get to full recovery and so I am taking a different route. Importantly Sam was happy to support me in working through what is next for the ankle (even if it wasn’t with him) and ruling out other possibilities like systemic disease. As I continue I will not hesitate to use Sam’s content (or coaching options again) to build a strength routine that I know will have positive impact on my body. If you want a friendly and regular touch point approach, Sam is an excellent Physio to contact. Thanks again, Cheryl.

I worked with Sam for about 9 months as an online, remote client based in the U.S. initially I came to him for help with my various and ongoing running injuries, but eventually we moved on to a bit of traditional strength training as well. The program was great. Easy to navigate, straightforward, flexible to adapt, and most importantly impactful. All of my problems—shin splints, knee pain, plantar fasciitis, Achilles tendon is—were resolved with careful strengthening and rehab. I was able to get back to running pain free.

Sam has been incredible for my recovery journey. He creates excellent sessions with lots of variety. These are constantly updated to lean towards progression and suitable for absolutely everyone. Sam is a great physio and always responds to any questions about exercises an form. The weekly updates are brilliant as well and ensure you're doing things correctly and that the exercises are most beneficial. Not only has Sam been amazing as a coach, but he's also been there for me personally which is well above and beyond expectations.

Great experience working with Sam! I developed runner’s knee at the start of the year and worked with Sam over 2 months to resolve the issue and build my mobility/strength up. Sam’s not only very knowledgeable but personable too, striking the right balance between keeping me accountable and recognising that sometimes life can get in the way too. Would definitely recommend Sam to a friend.

I can’t recommend Sam & SJC enough, I’ve been in program 5 months and have found the session plan easy to follow, structured and well supported with WhatsApp messages if required. I’ve never been a huge fan of the gym but through Sam being so approachable and understanding there’s not been a moment I felt on my own or lacking the information to back the program sessions. At times work got in the way however I’ve been able to move sessions around to suit . Although my journey to recovery is still ongoing I have seen a huge improvement and that’s thanks to Sam . If you’re after a coach that will hold you accountable but is extremely supportive and genuinely cares about your goals and recovery then look no further than. I’ve been coached by a few people now through ultra marathons to Ironmans but I can honestly say Sam hands down the top coach spot. Thank you for everything so far 🙏🏻

With a BSc in Physiotherapy from the University of Salford and a background as a professional dancer, I bring a unique blend of clinical knowledge and personal experience to my physiotherapy practice. My own journey through injury and recovery sparked a deep interest in rehabilitation, strength, and functional movement.
Transitioning into CrossFit further expanded my understanding of the physical demands placed on the body, giving me first-hand insight into the injuries, mobility challenges, and strength requirements involved in high-performance fitness. I am passionate about helping others recover, build resilience, and move better - whether they’re athletes, performers, or anyone striving to improve their physical health.

I graduated with a masters degree in physiotherapy from Manchester Metropolitan university and started my career in the NHS. During my junior rotations, I built a strong passion for improving people's function, mobility and pain. At present I work as a clinical specialist MSK physiotherapist alongside SJC. This has provided me with a range of experience working with paediatrics to the elderly as well as acute and chronic conditions.
Through my education, experience and keen involvement in running, CrossFit and football I have built a wealth of understanding in the management and rehabilitation of musculoskeletal injuries for all ages, abilities and backgrounds.
I love the time, space and facilities SJC provides me with, enhancing my ability to help individuals move and perform better.
