  Hello my name is Jennifer Emmott - I am a registered osteopath working in Dunham Massey and Chorlton. In addition to my muscuoloskeletal work, I am also qualified to practice Visceral and Cranial Osteopathy. I also practice Applied Kinesiology (AK) which I have done for > 25 years. Recently, with the approval of both governing boards, I merged my osteopathy skills with my AK skills to form a practice called osteo-kinesiology, for which I am one of only (since 2024) 32 practitioners in the UK. This practice means patients get nutritional support in addition to musculoskeletal and soft tissue treatments.

  Absolutely superb! Jennifer is a true osteopathy guru, spending good time understanding all possible interconnecting issues of my body, then deeply explaining her medical care as she goes along. I feel I understand the pain in my shoulder to wrist far better with her knowledge and care. The environment is warm and relaxed, Jenny has the perfect combination of being relaxed but highly focussed on every tissue and sinew she is treating. This isn't textbook osteopathy, its far more than that - human.

  Had a treatment with Jen yesterday, she was v thorough going through my medical history, and came up with a diagnosis. The treatment was gentle and gave felt so much relief. This alongside the follow up care she provided and exercises to help gain better overall.

  I can recommend River Bollin Osteopathy 100%. Jenn is fantastically knowledgeable and uses all of her skills to complete an in-depth investigation of the issue and to give the most appropriate treatment. When I have been to other osteopaths it has been a 15 minute consultation and treatment which did not lead to a solution. Jenn’s treatments are very thorough and her advice is sound. My course of treatments together with other dietary changes have resolved my long standing gut issues. As an added bonus after every treatment I always have the best night’s sleep! Many thanks Jenn.

  I was having back pain at the gym when performing deadlifts. My technique was correct and so I went to see Jenn who instantly helped me by explaining my issue as well as problems I didn’t even know were affecting me. I’ve had a few sessions with her and every time I feel great. Would highly recommend!

  I’ve always suffered with a bad back especially after having my 2 children in 2012 and 2016. In 2019 whilst abroad I felt my back lock and I ended up being stuck on the plane the pain was something I’ve never felt before. I went to the doctors straight away with the help of my husband at this point I couldn’t stand up straight. Pain meds were given and a physio appointment was booked. After attending physio they said i had a “bulging disc” I’ve never had a scan to confirm this. As the years went on my back has locked atleast 3/4 times a year I call it a “flare up” I go through the same process. Naproxen , diazepam. Physio and tens machine etc. last year I had the worst year, several times where I couldn’t move I couldn’t sit down and was in constant pain and id had enough. I went back to the doctors January this year and had a physio session he very quickly told me by looking at me it wasn’t a bulging disc what I had was chronic back pain and basically this is now my life at 37 years old. I was referred to pain clinic. I spoke to my mum in tears and she said why don’t we try Jen she’s an osteopath i said yes I’ll try Anything now so I went to Jen on February 26th this year she could see how much pain I was i couldn’t sit down as I was scared I wouldn’t be able to get out of the chair. Jen saw I couldn’t lift my right leg up to my chest or up at all so after checking me over she said Jodie it’s not your back that’s the problem it’s your pelvis. After manipulation on that first session at the end of it I lifted my right leg which I haven’t been able to do in a long time. I’m so grateful and I still go to see Jen every month or so. I’m so much happier I can sit down and stand up much easier. I haven’t been on any meds since February this year. Thank you Jen I can’t believe how much you’ve changed my life I’m so grateful. About

I am the owner of river Bollin Osteopathy here at Red House Farm in Dunham Massey, set in this glorious Cheshire countryside. The treatment room is a converted Stables, but is a large space- it is over 4metres by 5metres. Lots of things for your family to do here aswell as being treated by myself. There is a boutique gym = "The Bodhi Barn", a skin expert/ aesthestic expert Faye Hayes, pottery classes, art classes, walkers have the Trans-Pennine Way just round the corner and there are planty of cafes and restaurants including the Dunham Barn nearby.
