  In this Initial Assessment, your Therapist will complete a detailed assessment, before providing you with a diagnosis and explaining exactly what the problem is. They will then start treatment, and give any advice, and education including any exercises that will benefit you. You'll leave the session with a full plan for how to relieve your pain.

  A follow up treatment session where your Therapist will reassess how you're progressing, and then continue treatment, and progress your exercises if required. If you have not had an initial assessment with one of our Therapists within the last 6 months, please book one in. This is a follow up session only.

  Sadia graduated with her Doctor of Physical Therapy degree in Pakistan before moving to the UK, where she earned her MSc in Sports Medicine, Exercise and Health from Liverpool Hope University. She has built a diverse clinical background across both hospital and private clinic settings, specialising in musculoskeletal (MSK) conditions, complex post-surgical rehabilitation, and lower limb biomechanics.
  
  With a strong focus on personalised care, Sadia combines advanced manual therapies, targeted exercise prescription, and custom orthotic interventions to help patients achieve long-term recovery. She is passionate about empowering her patients through fitness education, ensuring they feel confident, active, and fully supported throughout their rehabilitation journey. Outside the clinic, Sadia loves staying active and has hands-on experience as a fitness trainer.

He has since gained experience working within the NHS, specifically in Stroke and Neurological rehabilitation as well as in academy football with Blackburn Rovers F.C.   Great initial assessment for my tendon issue, lots of good detail and explanation of the injury. Confident in assessment and ongoing plan for further treatment and recovery. Keith seems very knowledgeable and no questions are unreasonable which is very reassuring.

  I have been experiencing MSK issues in my neck, shoulder and back for c8 years and have had various medical interventions during that time, but unfortunately some residual issues still remained. I decided that I would arrange for physio supporting one of our local businesses. I booked an initial assessment with Sadia which included a hands on deep massage where I was given a diagnosis of why I was experiencing these issues. I was shown some exercises to take away with me and was subsequently emailed a link to an exercise plan. I booked a package of 6 sessions with Sadia to work on resolving my MSK issues alongside my home exercise plan. I have now just completed session 2 of 6 and hanks to Sadia I am feeling much better. I still have some way to go, but I am definitely going in the right direction after struggling on for years now. I wish that I'd taken the step of booking an appointment at True Physio much sooner. I called into True Physio initially to make an enquiry and was greeted by Alison on reception. Alison was super helpful in my decision to move forward with my assessment. Each time I attend I receive a warm welcome from Alison by my first name which is a lovely touch.

  Brilliant place to go , haven't been before. Had a relaxing sports massage with luke it was great. Luke was very professional and knew what he was doing. Hopefully going back soon brilliant.

  I have recently received physiotherapy from Tanya for lower back pain. Following a full assessment she was able to diagnose what was causing my pain. Tanya has an in depth clinical knowledge and understanding. She was able to clearly explain my problem then devise a personalised treatment plan. This involved both massage and exercise, with an exercise plan to continue at home and encouragement to get in touch should I encounter any problems at all. Each new session began with a review in order to adapt/extend the plan to help me to progress. After each session I could feel the benefit and, combined with following the exercises at home, I am now almost pain free when moving. Tanya has ensured I am armed with strategies and exercises to continue my pain management. Tanya always listens fully to what you are saying and she makes you feel very comfortable. She is very friendly but always respectful; her professionalism shines through. Thank you Tanya ! The whole team at True Physio have been welcoming and accommodating throughout. I would thoroughly recommend both Tanya and the practice.

Our Blackburn Physiotherapy clinic is conveniently located on the A647 not far from Cherry Tree Train Station. There is parking at the front of the clinic, and on the surrounding roads. There is a very small step into the front of the building with reception, patient toilets, 2 treatment rooms and fully equipped rehab gym on the ground floor.

Our physiotherapists in Blackburn have extensive experience working in private practice and are HCPC registered and chartered. We are registered with all major medical insurers including Axa PPP and Bupa.

We have early morning, and evening appointments, and both male and female therapists so everyone can access the help they need.
